Life Style Analysis

Schedule Appointment
The term Lifestyle is synonymous with what most people mean by the word personality, and refers to an individual’s particular way of perceiving and interacting with the world around him/her. Lifestyle is unique to each person, and develops through the interaction between heredity, environment, and the choices we make. Our Lifestyle impacts how we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. It contains our ‘rules’ for life, and the goals we have set for ourselves without even knowing it.

Lifestyle Assessment is a distinctly Adlerian tool designed to identify an individual’s core beliefs (about self, others and the world), his/her rules about life, and the goals that have been set. Lifestyle Assessment is an informative and often enjoyable process that can produce high levels of insight that can be translated into life-altering behavioral and cognitive changes.

Because none of us are perfect, we each have what Adler called Interfering Ideas. These are ways we interpret and engage with the world around us that cause us more grief than is necessary. Lifestyle Assessment helps to identify our Interfering Ideas so that we have the opportunity to make changes that promote healing and growth. Along with this, Lifestyle Assessment identifies the strengths and resources each individual has, and helps us to see how to use these assets to strengthen our relationships and improve our lives.

If you would like to better understand yourself, others and the world around you please contact our office today and schedule a Lifestyle Assessment with any of our experienced psychologists.
