Gary Younghans, MA, LMHC
Gary is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with couples, families, and individuals. He is honored to walk with others to help them discover, strengthen and grow. He has extensive therapeutic experience with issues of anxiety, depression, loss, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, anger management, conflict resolution and trauma. Collaborating with the client to determine goals and treatments, Gary builds trust in a safe, welcoming environment.
Gary utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman, EMDR, Narrative, Attachment, and Awareness interventions to best meet each person’s unique needs and goals.
Gary integrates Christian faith for those interested in receiving guidance from a Christian worldview.
In his personal time, Gary enjoys biking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Gary, and his wife of over 40 years, have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
Gary is a graduate of Indiana-Purdue University Counselor Education program and holds a Master's degree in Marriage and
Family Therapy. He holds an additional Master's degree from Indiana University in Public Administration
and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana-Purdue.
