
Mackenzie is a licensed mental health counselor and doctoral level intern with the Aberdeen Group. She is dedicated to helping each individual with their specific therapy needs. Mackenzie understands that counseling can be a huge step in someone's life and is passionate about guiding others through the process.
She is a clinician that works with children, adolescents, individuals, adults, and families. Mackenzie has experience with children and adolescents with those who have had mental health inpatient services or troubled youth. Mackenzie also offers counseling from a Christian perspective as desired. She is passionate about helping everyone from different cultural backgrounds.
Mackenzie utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. She also has training in EMDR therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and children struggling with adjustments and challenges with communication in relationships. She also has a vast amount of experience working with trauma.
Mackenzie completed her undergraduate degree in counseling and sociology at Grace College. She also completed her Masters of Arts at Huntington University and has continued her education by pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The Michigan School of Professional Psychology.
