Michelle Heironimus, MA, LMHCA
Michelle is an experienced, empathetic, and dedicated therapist who has had the honor of walking with clients through their own personal journeys of growth, self-discovery, and healing. She has had the privilege of serving adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families and has helped clients work through depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, family issues, and relationship issues.
Michelle values a person-centered, strengths-based approach where the client is the expert of their own life and believes each of us has the power to lead our best lives by finding solutions and recognizing strengths. Cognitive Behavior Therapy along with solution-focused therapy, mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed care provide the framework for each session as clients experience freedom in new ways of thinking and being.
Michelle is passionate about providing a safe and welcoming place for clients. She also specializes in providing faith-based services for those who want to incorporate their faith into therapy, but welcomes all people and values everyone for who they are. Michelle believes the most important thing is to meet clients where they are at and provide support as they take their next steps.
In her spare time, Michelle loves spending time with her family, exercising, mountain biking with her husband, cooking healthy, tasty food, enjoying some R & R, and starting new adventures.
Michelle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Indiana University, her Master of Divinity from Urshan Graduate School of Theology, and her Master of Arts in Counseling at Bethel University.
